Minetest is a free software game engine. You can think of it as a collection of different programs similar to Minecraft (tm). Each program can create or go to a number of types of blocky game worlds.
The blocky game worlds may have themes such as Old West, post apocalypse, ordinary cities, and many more.
The different Minetest programs include the original, Trolltest; the commercial one, Multicraft; and the most advanced in some respects, Final Minetest.
