Ice is a solid block which can be mined with a pickaxe. It occours abundantly in glacier and ice sheet biomes. In the valleys mapgen, it also occours in frozen rivers, often hidden beneath a layer of snow blocks.
Ice is slippery when walked on.
Ice also has the capability of cooling lava.
