Coal Block blocks are crafted from 9 Coal Lumps. They can smelt more items than 9 coal in a furnace, making them useful to improve fuel efficiency. They can be mined with a wooden pickaxe (or better). When punched with Flint and Steel, a Permanent Fire is created on top of it.
