Books are crafted from Paper (making books renewable) and can be used to make a Bookshelf or write down some text. Books can also be stored in a bookshelf (up to 16 per bookshelf).

To write some text into a book, simply hold the book in your hand and leftclick, then you can enter the text. The book will become a Book With Text which can't be stacked. You can also copy the contents of a book with text via crafting (see below).
