Should we publish ways to cheat?

I think that publishing ways to cheat is a bad idea. I see no legitimate use for this page.

- maybe you're right.

I think this page is a bad idea. It should only list what Cheating means in a general context just for completeness, but not and I repeat, not publish ways to "hack" the client as some put it. This is not the place to list vulnerabilities; that should be an exercise for whoever wants to find them.

I think fixed bugs can be used as examples of cheating. If server owners read them they may look if their server uses some of these outdated mods and disable/upgrade them. Sorry that I didn't use tildes before. HybridDog (talk) 20:23, 5 June 2014 (MSK)
I would support the idea of using fixed bugs of stable Minetest as examples of cheating, as these bugs are fixed and could not be used anymore unless they use or the server they play on is using outdated version of Minetest. Muhdnurhidayat (talk | contribs | sign) 12:08, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

It's not a bug, it's a feature

This could be the place to explain the anti_cheat system and things such as sneak-ladders, water-elevators and noclip_peeks. Ways to build and breath underwater, such as using torches, papyrus, glas-panes and slabs could also be added here. --Twoelk (talk) 15:11, 12 April 2014 (MSK)

I like this idea. HybridDog (talk) 20:23, 5 June 2014 (MSK)
