'''Stone''' is one of the most common blocks found naturally in [[Games/Minetest Game|Minetest Game]]. It can be found at any height level down from the surface level except in [[Biomes#Desert|deserts]] and the entire underground is mainly made out of stone. [[Mining]] it gives [[cobblestone]] which can be smelted into stone again. To mine it, you need a [[Pickaxe|wooden pickaxe]] (or better). == Renewing ==
Stone is created when flowing [[lava]] is touched by a lava-cooling block (even diagonally or at a corner): [[water]], [[River Water|river water]], [[ice]], [[Snow Block|snow block]]. As long the lava source is not destroyed in the process, it is possible to create an unlimited amount of stone that way.
